Training Services

Basic 1

A basic level of training, listening to simple commands, playing with the ball - and giving it back.

Coming when needed, even if there is something interesting.

The bare minimum that a dog is expected to do.

I can't not teach this so it is now included in all services.

Basic 2 + Socialising

Mixed in with the Dogs of the Day. Your dog can join me and other dogs in the main afternoon walk, we can target the training as needed.

If you want to join us you are welcome then I can watch how you and they do with the group, offering support and feedback on your issues.

Dedicated Training

One on One with the dog (preferably you too).
Focused training on the needs you have for them with a little exercise and fun mixed in.

Evening/Weekends

 Off Leash Walking

Walking alongside the walker and paying attention there are 3 sorts of off leash walking:

  1. Heel - The dog is just in front of you at the edge of peripheral vision, but focused on you. When you stop walking they stop, generally acting as though they are on a short leash.

  2. Near - Equivalent of an extendable leash, they can run around nearby, but staying within a rough circle of 5-10m.

  3. Free - Loose and crazy, do as they want.

Other than these basics, what a dog is capable of is quite a range from always listening, playing fetch (with ball return) and much much more. Here is an amazing example of what a dog can do:

More than just tricks though engaging with your dog and learning how they think as you teach them how you think is really useful tool for all involved.

Generally my process for training a dog is to see what the dog can do alone for a few times then I would want to do some more one on one sessions with you to help you understand how to get what you want from your companion.
